Invisible Footprint

 

In a rapidly changing world full of uncertainty, how do we leave behind a trace of our own?

 

Organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Jiangsu Youth, the cross-media exhibition Invisible Footprint will be held at HKADC SHOWCASE. Curated by Zijing Song, the project transports audiences to a speculative Hong Kong in the year 2300, looking back at the cultural traces and everyday life of the 21st century.

 

Fostering a cross-disciplinary dialogue, the exhibition connects new media artists, local heritage practitioners, ecological conservationists, and community groups. Through varied artistic forms, it addresses the anxiety and ambiguity of contemporary life, broadening its inquiry into how human actions reverberate across species and ecosystems. An individual may be no more than a grain of sand in the tide of history, but being small is not the same as carrying no weight. The crafts we carry forward, the stories we tell, and the connections we sustain embody our resilience in the face of change.

 

Complementing the exhibition, a series of public programmes will also be offered, inviting audiences to explore the relationship between humanity, the city, and nature through multifaceted perspectives.
