Established in 1995, Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is a statutory body set up by the Government to support the broad development of the arts in Hong Kong. Its major roles include grant allocation, policy and planning, advocacy, promotion and development, and special projects.
In response to the arts community's needs for arts space, HKADC has been actively engaged in discussions with various strategic partners to implement “ADC Arts Space Scheme”. The Scheme is to relieve the rental pressure faced by the arts community for ease of their pursuit in arts. Over the years, the Scheme has favoured and nurtured a number of artists and arts groups from different arts disciplines and fostered the arts development of Hong Kong.
